Not properly sealing your bonds can allow things like conditioner, products or water inside the bonds.

Enough of that inside your bonds will weaken them over time causing them to slip out.

A lot of stylists were taught you’re not allowed to put conditioners on your bonds and I disagree with that.

As long as your using quality keratin and your bonds are properly sealed, those baby’s are good to get slippery 😉

Every client is unique so stop doing the same method on EVERYONE.

Lower bonds are great for clients with fine/fragile hair or sensitivities.

I remember getting my first set of keratin bonds and my head was in pain for 2 weeks!!

I couldn’t even rest my head on my car seat when driving 😭

This is when I knew there’s gotta be a better way to install k-tips and NOT be in pain.

The goal for my babe is to get her hair health back!

Due to minor damage to her ends, we cut about 2-3 inches off her ends.

I always tell my dates, you can’t turn a pickle back into a cucumber.

Same goes for your hair… the only fix is to cut it off, everything else is a bandaid.

And why not keep getting trims while you’re wearing extensions?!

Bleach + k-tips + Bob = @thedumbl0nd 2.0

My girl found me after moving back to Wisconsin.

She had chunky heavy bonds that were twisting so bad they created clusters where no matter how much she cared for them they wanted to clump together.

On top of this she has damage from years of bleach, here’s what we did and our plan:

We added two rows of wefts to get the volume she wanted and added Keratin Bonds in the areas wefts couldn’t go
(around face and top layer blending)

The goal was to NOT overlap her bleach! We color matched her current blonde and brought some blonde peices up to start creating a smooth grow out where we do minimal lightening from here.

If anybody asks, I’m a full time hair playa. 💁🏽‍♀️

These are keratin spider webs and they are SOO annoying!

To avoid these while creating bonds you want to do the OPPOSITE of what I did haha

👉🏽 never release or remove your hot tool abruptly.

👉🏽 stay close to your work.

👉🏽 work in proper temperatures.

I put a high importance on scalp and hair heath.

This is why I density match my clients with the right sourced hair for safety.

My client I’m making this set for has very fine/sparse hair so I sourced virgin Slavic hair for her.

She’s used to wearing Asian hair extensions and if you think about Asian hair it’s very course and straight typically.

Slavic hair is typically very soft and lightweight making it a perfect choice for my skinny hair girlies.

Not only was this a bomb install but she traveled to see me from out of state and I had to color match her from photos.

I ordered hair as close as possible to my target color but went a shade lighter than I thought I would need.

This leaves me room to alter the color if needed.
